In a vibrant recognition of community-centered leadership, the Berom Youths Moulders Association (BYM), Gyel District, has honoured Rt. Hon. Pam Joseph Choji with the “Outstanding Youth Political Impact” award. Choji, who serves as the Councillor representing Bukuru Ward and doubles as the Deputy Leader of Jos South Legislative Council, was celebrated for his visible commitment to development and service.
The award ceremony, which held over the weekend at Zang Commercial Secondary School in Gyel District, was attended by youth leaders, community stakeholders, and political figures, reflecting the deep-rooted appreciation for Choji’s leadership style. The BYM described his contribution as “a model of youthful governance and responsible political representation.”
While receiving the award, Rt. Hon. Pam Joseph Choji expressed heartfelt gratitude to BYM for the honour, noting that the recognition strengthens his resolve to continue serving diligently. “I am humbled and grateful to BYM for finding me worthy of this prestigious award. It is a reminder that people are watching and appreciating sincere efforts,” he said.
He also lauded the Jos South Local Government Council for creating an enabling environment for young leaders to thrive. According to him, “The support structure in Jos South has made it easier for us to reach our people and carry out impactful projects.”
The Deputy Leader did not hold back in praising the people of Gyel District and the Bukuru metropolis, describing them as peaceful, industrious, and full of potential. He emphasized the importance of unity and youth participation in governance, saying: “When the youth are actively engaged in community matters, growth becomes inevitable.”
Choji noted the ongoing developmental progress in Bukuru Ward under their administration and assured that more efforts would be made to benefit the people, particularly in education, youth empowerment, and infrastructure.
He further encouraged other youth organizations to emulate the BYM by recognizing excellence, as this promotes accountability and motivates leaders to serve with integrity.
