In a move aimed at strengthening institutional leadership and advancing reforms in the education sector, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment and reappointment of six top officials across key educational bodies in the country.

The announcement, made on Wednesday through a statement by the Presidency, outlines strategic placements in institutions critical to Nigeria’s academic development, regulation, and knowledge management.

Among the appointments is that of Prof. Modupe Adeola Adelabu, who has been named Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Examinations Council (NECO). In a related development, Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi has been retained as the Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, ensuring continuity in the council’s administration.

Also on the list is Engr. Dr. Bongfa Binfa, who has been appointed Rector of the Federal Polytechnic N’yak-Shendam for a single term of five years.
