In a significant and heartfelt meeting, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, PhD, OON, met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the second time within the last 30 days.
The meeting underscored Gagdi’s unwavering dedication to addressing pressing national issues, especially concerning security and the welfare of suffering Nigerians.
Gagdi, a loyal member of the APC and a dedicated representative, engaged in a candid discussion with President Tinubu. His focus was on the deteriorating security situation in the country and the challenging living conditions faced by many Nigerians, which have been exacerbated by certain government policies. Gagdi emphasized the severe hardships experienced by rural dwellers, sharing first-hand accounts from his continuous interactions with the grassroots. In response, President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the citizens.
Expressing his gratitude, Gagdi thanked President Tinubu for the recent board appointments awarded to deserving individuals from Plateau State. Notably, the appointment of Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Goar as a Governing Board Member of the Federal University of Medical Sciences, Otukpo, was highlighted. However, Gagdi, like Oliver Twist, did not hesitate to request additional federal appointments and projects for his constituency.
The discussion also covered the vacant Plateau State seat in the Federal Executive Council. President Tinubu assured that an appointment would soon be made, acknowledging the patience and maturity displayed by the Plateau people during this period of non-representation.
On a somber note, Gagdi extended his heartfelt condolences to the victims of the recent school collapse in Jos. He expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident that claimed the lives of young students with bright futures. Gagdi wished the hospitalized victims a swift recovery and offered his sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones, praying for strength and fortitude in this difficult time.
