Gagdi Support Foundation recently celebrated a remarkable milestone by training 34 women across various skill sets in a commendable stride towards fostering women’s empowerment. This laudable initiative underscores the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the socio-economic fabric of Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency.
A heartening ceremony marked the culmination of rigorous training programs that equipped 25 women with sewing skills, 6 in makeup artistry, 2 in catering, and 1 in poultry management. Each participant was graciously bestowed with essential equipment pertinent to their field—sewing machines, baking tools, and poultry gear—ensuring they possess the necessary resources to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.
Furthermore, the Foundation provided substantial financial support to fortify these women’s ventures. Participants in poultry and baking received N100,000 and N50,000 respectively, amplifying their capacity to establish and sustain their businesses.
This initiative epitomises community-driven empowerment and underscores the transformative impact of targeted skill development programs. As these women step into their newfound roles, they embody the promise of independence and success, setting a precedent for future empowerment endeavours.
Here’s to their journey to independence and success!
For the love of PKK, and with unwavering faith in God, the Gagdi Support Foundation continues to champion the cause of holistic development and empowerment.
