During a courtesy visit to the Minister, PIDAN President, Amb. Nanpon Danjuma Sheni, described the appointment as a testament to Plateau State’s significant contributions to national development and a recognition of Prof. Yilwatda’s exceptional competence and dedication to public service.
Amb. Sheni commended President Tinubu for entrusting Prof. Yilwatda with the critical mandate of poverty reduction in Nigeria. He assured the Minister of PIDAN’s unwavering support in delivering on his responsibilities. Representing nearly 60 ethnic groups in Plateau State, PIDAN reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the Minister and other stakeholders to advance development both in the state and across the nation.
Prof. Yilwatda, in his response, appreciated PIDANās solidarity and their role in unifying the diverse ethnic nationalities of Plateau State. He reiterated his dedication to serving the nation while ensuring Plateau State continues to play a pivotal role in Nigeriaās progress. Prof. Yilwatda emphasized the importance of collaboration with PIDAN and other stakeholders to achieve meaningful results at both the state and national levels.
