The Member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, on Sunday accompanied the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on a visit to Dengi, the headquarters of Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State.
As part of the visit, Prof. Yilwatda joined Christian faithful for the Sunday worship service at COCIN RCC, Dengi, where prayers were offered for peace, unity, and continued progress in Plateau State and Nigeria.
The visit reflected the APC leadership’s commitment to fostering unity, religious harmony, and closer engagement with communities across the country.
Following the church service, Rt. Hon. Gagdi and the APC National Chairman paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Emir of Kanam, His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammadu Mu’azu Muhammadu II, where they paid homage and received royal blessings.
During the visit, the delegation sought the Emir’s fatherly blessings and benefitted from his words of wisdom and counsel on leadership, peacebuilding, and community development. The traditional ruler welcomed the delegation and prayed for divine guidance, stability, and continued success for the nation’s leaders.
The dual engagements; worshipping with the Christian faithful and paying respects to the revered traditional institution underscore the importance of religious tolerance, respect for cultural heritage, and collaboration between political leaders, faith-based organizations, and traditional institutions in promoting sustainable development and peaceful coexistence.
The visit further highlights Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi’s continued commitment to strengthening relationships with the people and institutions within his constituency while supporting initiatives that promote unity, inclusiveness, and good governance.
