
The Humanities Welfare and Social Development Initiative (HUWESDI Africa) has congratulated Hon. Bitrus Lawrence Garki on his appointment as the Director of the City Boy Movement, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The congratulatory message was contained in a formal letter dated 4th January, 2026, signed by the Executive Director and President of HUWESDI Africa, Comrade Felix Nnalue Attah, and addressed to Hon. Garki, who also serves as the FCT Mandate Secretary (Commissioner) for Area Councils.
In the letter, HUWESDI Africa described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that it reflects Hon. Garki’s leadership qualities, commitment to service, and contributions to the development of the six Area Councils within the FCT.

The organisation stated that the appointment represents not only a personal milestone for Hon. Garki but also a significant boost for youth engagement across Nigeria. It highlighted his experience, vision, and grassroots performance in advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda within the FCT.
HUWESDI Africa further expressed confidence that Hon. Garki’s leadership, passion for service, and dedication to development would continue to inspire positive change, adding that these qualities make him well-suited for the role.
The organisation also expressed optimism that Hon. Garki would make meaningful contributions to youth structures across party lines while aligning with the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The letter concluded with wishes of success to Hon. Garki in his new role as Director of the FCT City Boy Movement.
