Shettima’s Planned Visit to Ekiti Reflects Tinubu’s Confidence in Governor Oyebanji – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has described the planned visit of Vice President Kashim Shettima to the state as a strong indication of President Bola Tinubu’s confidence in the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Shettima is expected to embark on a one-day working visit to Ekiti State, where he will represent President Tinubu at the inauguration and groundbreaking of several key projects executed by the Oyebanji administration. Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the newly constructed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) zonal office, and the proposed Ekiti Knowledge Zone project.

According to APC stakeholders, the Vice President’s visit underscores the Federal Government’s recognition of the developmental strides recorded by the Oyebanji administration and reflects the strong relationship between the Ekiti State Government and the Presidency.

Party leaders noted that high-profile visits by top federal officials often serve as an endorsement of a governor’s performance and commitment to governance. They argued that the scheduled visit further demonstrates the confidence reposed in Governor Oyebanji by the leadership of the APC at the national level.

The Vice President’s visit will be his second official trip to Ekiti State since the beginning of the current administration. During an earlier visit, he inaugurated major infrastructure projects and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting the state’s development agenda.

The Ekiti State Government has assured residents that adequate arrangements have been made for the Vice President’s visit, which is expected to attract top government officials, party leaders, and stakeholders from across the state.

As preparations continue, many supporters view the visit as another milestone in the partnership between the Federal Government and Ekiti State, aimed at promoting development, economic growth, and improved infrastructure for residents.
