Jos, the Plateau State capital, was full to capacity as Senators of the 10th National Assembly under the leadership of His Excellency Godswill Akpabio led other Distinguished senators into Plateau to bid Farewell to the late Mother of the All Progressives Congress National Chairman Prof.Nentewe Yilwatda.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and his deputy, Senator Jubril Barau, who arrived at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Jos, were highly received by the Distinguished Senator Simon Bako Lalong and Senator Diket Plang and other highly anticipating and Joyous Plateau APC BIGWIGS and supporters who came to receive the Senate Delegation into Plateau.
Shortly after their Arrival, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arrived at the Yakubu Gowon Airport amid his delegation into the state.
The streets of Jos witness a large Crowd of people who line up to show their gratitude to the President of Nigeria who came to identify with them over the unfortunate demise of the late Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
Important dignitaries at the event include the security adviser to the President, Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Executive Governor of Plateau state, His Excellency Caleb Manneseh Mutfwang, Ogun state Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, who represented the Progressive Governors’ forum, Senator David Jonah Jang, and Senator. Joshua Chibi Dariye.
Sen Diket Plang extolled Matriarch’s virtues, describing her as a mother who lived a disciplined, industrious, and selfless lifestyle worthy of emulation, Diket Plang had prayed that God Almighty rest Mama’s soul in Peace.
