Hon. Hitler Joshua Pwajok, Special Adviser to Governor Caleb Mutfwang on Youth Mobilization and Engagement, has praised the Governor for demonstrating fairness and compassion in the absorption of long-serving ad hoc staff of the College of Education Gindiri and Plateau State Polytechnic.

He spoke at Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos, where the Governor formally received the workers and acknowledged their patience and years of service. Hon. Pwajok said Governor Mutfwang’s actions reflect true leadership and a deep commitment to equity in the education sector.

The Special Adviser urged the newly absorbed staff to uphold excellence in their duties, stressing that their new status places a responsibility on them to work diligently and set positive examples within their institutions.

He noted that absorption should inspire higher productivity and renewed dedication, assuring the staff of the government’s continued support as they settle fully into their roles.

Earlier, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang explained that last-minute recruitments had failed to consider long-serving ad hoc workers, prompting the suspension of the exercise to address all complaints fairly.

He thanked the workers for enduring years of uncertainty and announced that their contributions would be duly recognized and compensated through their institutions.

Governor Mutfwang encouraged them to improve themselves academically and professionally, assuring that qualified Plateau citizens will always be considered for opportunities in state institutions.

Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Kachollom Pyam Gang, described the event as a major boost for the education sector, noting that the Governor’s intervention had restored morale among staff from both institutions.

Speaking on behalf of the absorbed workers, Mr. Josiah Sati expressed heartfelt appreciation, describing the day as the happiest moment of their lifelong struggle for recognition.

He pledged that the staff would remain committed, motivated, and determined to honor the Governor’s legacy through hard work and unity.
