The Plateau State Commissioner of Education, Hon. Kachollom Gang, has expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance recorded as schools across the state reopened for academic activities following a temporary closure over security concerns.

Speaking to journalists after monitoring the resumption of schools in Jos North and Jos South Local Government Areas, the commissioner described the turnout of students and teachers as encouraging, noting that it reflected the commitment of school authorities to government directives.

It will be recalled that the Plateau State Government had earlier shut down schools as a precautionary measure in response to prevailing security challenges. With improved security arrangements and proactive interventions, the government later directed all public and private schools to resume normal academic activities.
