Supporters of Harry Ishaya on Tuesday morning staged a protest at Angwan Rukuba Junction in Jos, blocking the road as they demanded the restoration of what they described as their mandate.

The protesters, comprising mainly youths and women, expressed dissatisfaction over the alleged exclusion of indigenous candidates in the Bassa/Jos North House of Representatives and Jos North North House of Assembly positions.

They called for the removal of the APC candidate for the Bassa/Jos North House of Representatives seat and the reinstatement of Harry Ishaya as the party’s candidate for the Jos North North State House of Assembly.

The protest, which began around 7:30 a.m.on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, caused traffic disruption along the Angwan Rukuba axis as demonstrators occupied the roadway.
