In a statement released through his official media platforms, Panle Samuel made it clear that no valid election was conducted anywhere across Plateau Central to justify such a declaration. He described the announcement as misleading, unconstitutional, and a desperate attempt to impose an unpopular candidate on the people through the back door.
He further stressed that the good people of Plateau Central, alongside loyal supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will strongly resist any undemocratic arrangement capable of undermining fairness, justice, and due process within the party.
According to him, the President has consistently directed the national leadership of the party to ensure transparency, equity, and equal participation for all stakeholders.
“We want to make it categorically clear that history has repeatedly shown that any attempt to impose candidates against the will of the people has always ended in failure.
The spirit of Plateau Central is fully awakened, and the people are prepared to defend their democratic rights against any form of political manipulation or imposition,” he stated.
He therefore warned all those involved in spreading false declarations and creating confusion to desist immediately, as Plateau Central cannot and will not be hijacked by selfish interests masquerading as democracy.
