Humanitarian Minister Hosts UN Resident, World Bank Director, Discusses Collaborative Humanitarian Efforts

The Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, welcomed United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Malick Fall, and World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Dr. Ndiame Diop, to his office today. The high-level meeting focused on strengthening partnerships to support humanitarian and poverty reduction initiatives across Nigeria.

During their discussions, both parties reviewed various collaborative programs planned for the coming year, identifying key strategies to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives. They emphasized the importance of sustainable development and economic empowerment as crucial pathways to alleviate poverty and uplift vulnerable communities.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to working together to make a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of Nigerians. Both the United Nations and the World Bank expressed their readiness to support ongoing and future efforts that will drive meaningful progress in the nation’s humanitarian and development agenda.
