In an effort to foster unity and promote sportsmanship, Hon. Felix Gonung, the Pankshin PDP Chairmanship Candidate, has organized an inter-wards peace and unity football tournament.
The 5-a-side competition features participation from all 20 wards of Pankshin Local Government Area, with kick-off slated for the 8th of September, 2024, at 3 PM at Holy Cross, Pankshin.
As an incentive to motivate teams, the organizing committee has announced the following prizes for different categories:
- 1st Place: ₦300,000
- 2nd Place: ₦250,000
- 3rd Place: ₦150,000
- Highest Goal Scorer: ₦20,000
- Best Player: ₦20,000
- Best Goalkeeper: ₦20,000
- Each Ward (Team): ₦20,000 for participation
This initiative aims to encourage the spirit of competition while emphasizing unity and peace across all participating wards.
