President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday received Madagascar’s President, Michael Randrianirina, at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja, as both leaders moved to strengthen diplomatic and bilateral relations between their countries.
The meeting marks another step in the growing relationship between Nigeria and Madagascar, with discussions expected to focus on areas of mutual interest, including trade, economic cooperation, regional security, and African development.
President Randrianirina’s visit comes after previous engagements with President Tinubu during regional and continental meetings, where both leaders explored opportunities for closer collaboration between their nations.
Officials from both countries were present during the meeting at the State House, highlighting the importance of strengthening ties between Nigeria and Madagascar. The visit is also expected to contribute to broader discussions on economic growth, investment opportunities, and cooperation within Africa.
Nigeria continues to play a key role in promoting regional integration and partnerships across the continent, while Madagascar seeks stronger diplomatic and economic relationships with fellow African nations.
The visit underscores the commitment of both leaders to enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation that could benefit their respective countries and the African continent as a whole.
