The Southern Zone Youths Council has issued a powerful public appeal urging Chief Nanzing Nangil Nden, popularly known as Dan Madami Langtang, to contest for the Plateau South Senatorial seat in 2027, describing him as a proven leader whose selfless service and humanitarian record make him the right man for the moment.

In a strongly worded statement signed by Daven Williams on behalf of the Council, the group emphasized that leadership is “no child’s play” and praised Chief Nden as a rare figure whose natural leadership traits have long endeared him to the people.

According to the Council, true leadership is defined by selflessness, vision, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of others — virtues they say Chief Nden embodies effortlessly.

“Indeed, sir, you are a rare gem whose benevolence and outstanding legacies have made you unparalleled amongst your equals,” the statement reads, noting that Chief Nden’s philanthropy aligns with Benjamin Franklin’s belief that “the greatest wealth one can acquire in life is by doing good to others.”

The group highlighted Chief Nden’s long-standing investments in youth empowerment, entrepreneurship support, and community development. They commended his consistent financial and moral assistance to young people across the zone — efforts aimed at reducing unemployment, discouraging restiveness, and promoting meaningful societal impact.

The statement also lamented what it described as the “relegation of service to humanity in Plateau South,” alleging that effective representation at the National Assembly has dwindled while education and citizens’ rights continue to suffer neglect.

Against this backdrop, the Council declared that the people of Plateau South are ready for a new chapter of competent, people-focused leadership.

“We ask you, Chief Nanzing Nangil Nden, with a loud voice, to come and render your meritorious stewardship to the good people of Southern Plateau… We don’t ever wish to trade competence with prejudice again,” the group stated.

Citing biblical symbolism, they likened Chief Nden to David for his heart, Solomon for his wisdom, and Samson for his strength — insisting that he is divinely equipped for the task ahead.

They concluded by reaffirming that the voice of the people is the voice of God, and that the Southern Zone Youths Council stands united in its call for Chief Nden to step forward and run for the Senate come 2027.
