Tinubu Vows Nigeria Will Not Bow to Terrorists, Bandits or Criminal Intimidation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity across the country, declaring that Nigeria will never bow to terrorists, bandits, or any form of criminal intimidation.

The President’s message was delivered through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, during a National Inter-Denominational Church Service held in Abuja as part of activities marking the 2026 Democracy Day celebration. Tinubu emphasized that protecting lives and securing communities remain top priorities for his administration.

According to the President, recent attacks and abductions in parts of the country serve as reminders that more work is needed to address security challenges. However, he assured Nigerians that the government remains determined to combat terrorism, banditry, and other criminal activities threatening peace and stability.
